Glass Splashbacks – A Guide

Do you feel the need to make your kitchen look modern yet elegant? Glass kitchen splash backs shops are here to help you. Apart from being sleek and beautiful, they provide a rich look to your kitchen thereby helping you make a unique style statement.

Pointers when installing

Installing a splashback requires utmost care and skill. A wide number of manufacturers offer installation services for an extra fee. However, if you wish to do it yourself, you have to make sure you are wearing protective gloves over your hands.

First of all, cut the glass 6mm thick using a glass mob. Apply adhesive at the junction of the wall and bench to make sure there is no gap between them. Carefully, apply the adhesive on the glass and stick it on the wall and leave it untouched for 24 hours to cure.

Try not to apply very close to edges of glass just to make sure the adhesive does not come out. It is advisable to maintain a gap of at least 2mm between the wall and the splashback to avoid the risk of mould formation.
