About Dogs

Weknowdogs.net is a place u can share the experiences you have had with your dog.

Dogs are known as "man's best friend" and for good reason.

They are loyal companions, who can also help alleviate some of their owner's health problems.

Home Loan Tips

There are ways in which you can provide for paying off your home loan. Taking an insurance policy against the loan is one. Most insurance companies offer a reducing premium policy wherein the amount of loan repaid is reduced from the amount of insurance and the premium is adjusted accordingly.

You can also setup a mortgage offset account where the interest on your investment is offset against the interest on your loan and you are required to repay only the principal amount.

Discount on larger amount

Some lenders offer lower rates of interest for large home loans. Ask about discounts when you are making enquiries but take them with a pinch of salt.

Prepare Yourself

Before you begin shopping for a home loan, plan for the repayment of the loan and your day to day expenses. If you are planning to start a family soon, you should be prepared to subsist on a single salary.

Pay more deposit

When you take the home loan you will be required to pay a certain percentage as deposit. The required percentage is around 10%. You can opt to pay more deposit if you have funds at your disposal so that your instalments are reduced and the burden of repayment is lessened.

Repayment Option

Your home loan will be repaid in monthly instalments. These instalments can cover only the interest on the loan or include a portion of the basic loan amount too.

If you chose the interest only option, you should make periodic repayments of the principal. This will not only reduce the interest instalments, but also you will avoid having to pay off the entire loan at one go.

Even if you chose the loan plus interest option, it is wise to pay off as much as you can when you are able to do so, to avoid a huge burden at a later date.
